Weekend of Scrapbooking

Well, actually I should call it a weekend of card making! lol Because that is what I did. I actually got a lot done too. Which not only surprised me, but my friends as well. I dont usually get much done for one reason or another. Like talking!! I had CTMH stamp of the month swap cards to make, DONE. Then I had taken a bunch of stuff that was kind of cut and bagged and just waiting to be finished up. Like extra swap stuff or classes and what nots. Finished those too! Made a bunch of christmas cards, thank yous and a box of just put togethers that I had won a fews months ago. I was very happy. Then I also worked on a "friend" album. Got the whole thing covered! WOW. I want to take pics then and post a just a few. No time now. Gotta go to work!
THEN Im going out to eat with bff and going to see the MJ movie. Cant wait. Girls night out...and in after dark too. We wont know how to act.

My kid in for surgery

Wow, I must admit I am probably more nervous and worked up then she is. She has done this countless times before she even came to live with us, and this is only the second time with us. Its her knee, she messed it up pretty bad on Labor Day, but Drs only figured it out recently with the MRI. Now, Im sitting here in the waiting room with their WiFi access! lol What a world we live in. I cant beleive how nervouse I was seeing my little girl (16) being wheeled away to surgery and not being able to go along.
Dr. just came out as Im writing this and all went well. She is done and in recovery. Whew. Just have to wait for her to wake up now. We figrue she probably starving since she hasnt eaten since last night before midnight. We all stayed up late and made a pizza for snack!! lol She liked that too I think.

and I never do. Right now I am getting ready to leave for TX on Thurs. for the garfield convention. Yes, the cat! My friends here in PA and I have not gone for a few years and we just cant stay away another year. I know it is going to be SOOOO hot, but I am so looking forward to seeing everyone and playing with the orange cat some too. Since my collection is in storage, Im not planning on buying anything, unless its real special. But Im just happy to be going. That also means I am flying again!! UGH We have a layover some where in the middle to, so its like flying 4 times! lol
I also have some things that I have been making here and there and been meaning to post, but with summer and the way Ive been feeling, that hasnt happened either.
Last week was vacation bible school, so you know I did nothing else then.
Hope to catch up more often when I get back.

Sleep Apnea, CARS and other ramblings

I guess I had not blogged on here about going for my sleep tests about a month ago, but I did! lol Now, I need to sleep with a mask hooked to a CPAP machine. What fun these things are. I knew it would be an adjustment and take some getting used to, but this is crazy. The first night (Tues) a week ago, I spent most of it "playing" with the mask and rearragning it. Then for 2 nights I was awakened by it spitting water UP my nose. That was real fun. NOT I keep talking to the man at the equiptment place and he is nice and helpful, but I think its hard for him to fix it over the phone and also him not having one could be a problem. I am not sleeping better and neither is my husband, in fact it is WORSE. With less sleep. And MORE naps in the daytime for me and still very tired. I am still using it and hoping that each time I learn something new that one of these nights, I will get it right. PLEASE.
I go away to a crop on Sat. and my car breaks down. We just put $$$$ into it about a week ago for some engine work and here now it wont start. I knew it was not the battery, because I had lights and radio, and of course someone had to jump me just to make sure and it didnt help. SO, we got it towed to the garage and it needed a new starter. UGH. Now, maybe that will be it for now.
I am hoping to be going on a scrapbooking weekend next weekend down to the beach. Yes, in Feb! lol Its cheaper, and Im not there to go swimming. The best part of this trip will be that my mom is going along with me. She hasnt been able to go to see the ocean in a long time and I think (know) she was having withdrawls. There is just something about feeling the oceans mists and seeing and hearing those waves crashing that gives us ENERGY!!!

Sleep Test DONE!

I had to cancel the other part of my sleep test last week because of allergies. So, I finally had it last night. What a joyous time that was. lol Last night (the 2nd part of the test) was to actually wear the machine or cpap, plus all the wires and such from the first time too. I asked the tech (Angie) a few questions last night and the most serious one, IF I WOULD STOP SNORING! She said YES! She explained to me what all was going on with my body and what this machine that would put air through my nose was going to do for it. Very interesting. Now, I have to wait for the medical store to call me to get MY machine and see what happens when I set it up at home. It wasnt quit as bad as I thought. Thought anyone wearing one would NOT win any beauty contests. I dont think my husband really cares about that at this point. He just wants me to stop snoring so HE can sleep! lol I know the girls that have to sleep with me on my weekend scrapbook retreats will VERY much appreciate it too. :) I am also hoping that I will not be SO tired during the day and maybe feel better too. I'll keep you posted.

Football

Well, my poor daughter had to watch her Eagles LOSE today. BUT, luckily I LOVE the STEELERS and we just WON!!! WE are on our way to the SUPERBOWL!!!!!!!
It would have been cool for my state of PA to have both our teams there. I was afaird to watch the whole game, sometimes I think I jinx them when I do. SO, I just kept checking the score and then watched the last quarter. Whew. TROY P....whatever his name is is awesome. I always just think of him as the hairy guy! Lol SOrry. It was kinda scary watching that guy get taken off the field on the stretcher. He was able to move, so hopefully he will be just fine. What a way to end their game.

Going for Sleep Test tonight!

OH my! So, just about everyone knows I snore, and terribly LOUD too! SO, not only is it NOT good, Im losing sleep and not feeling well. Plus falling asleep all the time during the day. I went to my Dr. the other week and then went to the specialist and tonight go sleep some where else all hooked up to wires and what nots for a few hours so they can see what really is going on. Then, I think they wake me at like 6AM and I can come home! lol Its Sat. for petes sake!! I will probably really have to come home and take a nap then! lol The 2 funny things they didnt want me to do today, was take a nap and NOT drink caffiene!!! Are you crazy? Well, I DID fall asleep and nap, but I am trying NOT to drink the caffiene. I have to go back again next Friday night, so I will let you know what happens.
SO, I pay some bills, and want to go out and put them in the mailbox before I forget. It has been raining so much here, but today its ok. WELLLLL, I didnt get too far down the yard and its REALLLLLLY mudddy...and ON MY BUTT I GO!!!! lol Oh geeezz. Then trying to get UP in that mud mess wasnt so easy either. YUCK!

Another bitter sweet day

Well, the day was actually yesterday....The other year (2 I think) a friend of ours was gonna go be a truck driver and had to be on the road for like 2 months just to train. SO, we kept his cat while he did so. Till it was all done, he didnt want to be an over the road truck driver any more!And he wanted his cat back!! It was almost Christmas and she was just fitting in here and we didnt want to give his cat back! lol SO, we kept Oreo. Well, after all this time, our daughter has pretty much picked on her and made her mad. Oreo started peeing in HER room on HER cloths and bedding!!! NO where else. Just HER ROOM!!! We have 2 other cats, but I guess the are not as hyper or something. Well, in the best interested of the cat, we decided that she should go back to the friend! Lol THis POOR cat! SO, New years day, we took her back. OH, did I mention, in the meantime, that friend got another cat too? lol SO, now he has 2 and we have 2!!!! lol SO, we will miss Oreo very much, but think she will feel better there and calmer. He has no kids, so she should like that again. :) Heres to my fluffernutter

Just Finished "A Page Out of Life"

So, this was one of our gifts at the Fiskateers event. Kathleen Reid the author of A Page Out of Life came and talked to us, shared about her book and then gave EVERYONE a copy!!!!! With going away this past weekend, I didnt get to read as much as I wanted to, but finally did get to finish it today. Did I like it? YES! Now, I will have to hope and wait for another one! This isnt just another scrapbooking book, this is about a bunch of woman who meet to sb and help each other out with not only their pages and art, but their LIVES! Its amazing how it all kept going. WOW! It was a nice read and I enjoyed it alot and am SO glad that I got to meet Kathleen.

Fiska-WHAT? you may ask. Well, if you do any crafts at all you probably know the company Fiskars. Right? A few years ago they started something called Fiskateers. You go to a website, sign up and have a BLAST! lol No, really. You meet lots of cool people, sometimes get free stuff, share your projects and NOW, a bunch of us got to meet!!! There are like 4 Fiskafriendzys that will happen and ours was right here in Hershey, PA!! Chocolate and scrapbooking, How COOOL!!
SO, besides meeting a bunch of great people, and getting a TON of coooool great products, and some chocolate of course, we also had a author of a new scrapbooking book, and we ALL got one!! It was such a great day. Did I get any work done? Well, not so much, but thats OK! lol I meet lots of nice women, had a great time, played with Fiskars products, ate chocolate and came home with a load of stuff I didnt have when I left in the morning! Lol
ANYWAY, go check it out.

Ribbons from Fair

Well, I keep taking pictures and wanting to write things here and then just never do. BUT, since I entered two cards in our local fair (Denver, PA) I just had to share my ribbons. This was the first time for me to enter so imagine my surprise when they both won!! They have had a scrapbooking catagory for a while now, but I dont know when they added the card catagory.

Anyway, I havent scrapbooked in soooo long, but I have been making cards, so I decided, what did I have to lose. Anyway, here they are. A first & second place!!!

OK, so its the FIRST Day OF School around here. We got through that. It also then means back to work for me ( Im a crossing guard) no big deal there either.
My BIG order of all new CTMH stuff comes, hubby comes home, supper......no big deal. THEN, my daughter was outside and said that the neighbors dishwasher was ON FIRE. OMG>...Im running out of the house wondering what the heck shes talking about, my friend (the neighbor) is outside all upset, her hubby comes to the door and says "Its Out"! Its ok!! Oh my gosh!!!!!
SO, she was home, making dinner and running the dishwasher and he had just walked in with their son when sparks and fire were flying out of their dishwasher!!! She didnt know what to do, called 911, grabbed a cat and ran outside!! Thats when my dd had come to get me. WOW. SO, of course the WHOLE entire town was here then. The police car, the fire guy, then TWO fire trucks!! Must of been a boring night in Denver! lol Luckily we live real close by too. SO, everything and everyone is Ok. The dishwasher is OUT for the trash or Insurance people or whatever. When they brought it out and we looked inside the dishwasher to the start of the fire, it was SCARY!!! Just glad them and their house and their animals were all ok. Scary thing.

Cell Phone stuff

I just have to say, the stuff I thought I would never use on a cellphone!! SO, a few months ago you may remember I mentioned that I finally switched carriers. I went with AT&T and got a new phone. Well, most of them now have cameras. No biggy. I figure I will never use it, but its there. Well, let me tell you what IS the coooolest thing ON my cellphone now? Yup, that camera. NOT because it takes great pics, (heck, I cant even get them OFF the phone!) BUT, there is this feature called picture caller ID!!!!! HOW cool is that? Well, if you cant always SEE the name and/or the number that comes, you should be able to see the picture ON the screen!! So, at least for the people I talk to more often I take a picture and put it with their phone number, so when they call, THEIR picture comes up!!!! I really love it! lol And apparently I am not the only one. Do you know how many people have taken MY picture lately for the same reason?

Kimberlys bday is coming very SOON!!!! I am also counting the days till FL!!!! TEN TEN TEN!!!!!

CTMH convention

Well, I waited for THE last minute/day/second, but, Im going to FL for the CTMH convention!!!! I can NOT believe it! I have only been begging, pleading, losing sleep over this for MONTHS. Alot of my group is going and some people on line that I would love to meet and I KNOW I will learn alot and see a lot and I just couldnt let it go. I am scared to ---well almost scared to death to fly----but someone will be with me! That may not know they may need to hold my hand yet though!! lol EEEK I just KNOW this is gonna be SO worth it. How could you not learn something for days there with business stuff, creat-n-takes and a whole bunch of other consultants? WOW. Plus of course we get to see ALL the NEW product & catalog for Sept!!!! That is just the cream on top!

I KNOW I have not posted here in a long time. I have pics and ideas and stuff going on, just have NOT done things. I am still having my headaches MOST days and now that summer is here, well its just crazy!!!! Im sure you all are busy too.
HAVE a great summer. Will try to catch up and post more later.

YUM-Lobster (WHOLE)!!

So, we all went out last night for our belated Mothers day dinner. We went to the CrabBarn in Reading, PA. Mom & I wanted seafood!!! YUM My hubby will eat some and my daughter wont touch it. lol But they have land food too. Mom wanted to start off with some steamed clams. Do you know how long its been since Ive had those? Probably like 20+ years! She asked if I would eat any, and I said, I guess! lol I think I like them!! Greg even ate some!! So Im hungry and could probalby eat just about anything and everything on that menu, but I really LOVE lobster tail and you dont get that too often. So I asked what the price was. The waiter informed me that they have a special on a WHOLE lobster for like $35. Ive never had a whole one before. What do I do with it? lol He said he would help. Ok, twist my arm. So when it finally comes out (they were VERY busy) then I had to sit and stare at it because I didnt have a "cracker" and also had NO clue what to do with it. So, when he finally came back (he was trying to catch up) he showed me what to do and what all I could eat. Oh my goodness was it DELICIOUS!!!! I have never had anything that tasted so sweet and sooooo good!!! Mom even liked (yes I shared). The clams were really good too. Then I had these yummy sweet potatoes rounds with cinnamon/sugar and syrupy stuff on. I didnt need any dessert! lol None of us did. We were SO full! So it was a million dollars, so what.....you only live once right?

Mothers Day

It was sort of a quiet Mothers Day Sunday around here. Which is fine with me! We will do dinner with my mom next week because of schedules and such. I was to STAY in bed. My dd loves to make something and serve it to me in bed! No problem with that!! lol Then I came down and they ate and I had a little something with them too. Later we went to Long John Silvers!! YUM. I dont get to go there very often, so that was cool. On the way was the interesting part though. I was driving and started wondering where in the world ALL these people came from?! And WHAT were they doing there? I forgot.....The Make a Wish foundation Mothers day TRUCK run!! I have heard about it for years and the local country station is usually around some where too, but I have never saw it. I am not saying its not important or a big thing, but I never really wanted to go see it. Its trucks, big deal, right? WELL, let me tell you something....It WAS a BIG deal!!!! I could NOT imagine all the people there to support it and ALL the trucks that were there too. WOW!!!!! I have no idea if this is done in other places/states, but if it is, you should go if you never have. So, here I am driving down one side of our highway, and ALLLLLL these people are everywhere.....bridges, both sides and in the middle too!!! Im sure there was over a 100 trucks, maybe more. Fire trucks, big trucks, double trucks, Even garbage trucks! With lights and sirens and everyone was waving them on!!!! How cool is that? VERY COOL. I must be getting old or something, it even brought tears to my eyes. Just that that many people (watching and truckers) would be there.
The other part of our big day.....we went to Lowe's to look at new stoves and dish washers! lol Boy, some new stuff is built pretty crappy! We need to keep looking though!!! We are working on furniture and this stuff. Its time to spend some money we don't really have, but need to spend on this stuff. Ya Know?

Stuff

WOW, I have NOT posted forever. I have looked, and I have thought about what I wanted to post, but never got TO post! lol
First, I have lots of art work and stuff to share. I need to take pictures and then you all will probably get tired of seeing it! Cards, cards and more cards. With my uplines meetings and a stamp of the month swap, I have LOTS to share!!!!
I have many events coming up to this month. Every Sat. in May I have something to do that is stamp/card/scrapbook related. I cant wait!!! With my last weekend being away for the whole weekend up in the mountains for a retreat!
We also just upgraded our Direct TV and I got that DVR thing too!!! Lol Yeah, I know, we are WAY behind....but that's ok. I, well none of us really wanted to spend the money. But, for a few dollars more a month and all new free equipment, why not. I was getting VERY VERY tired of watching Disney and Nick every night and having really nothing else to watch.
TESTS... Well, Kimberly has been complaining of a pain, not really in her stomach, but above, so I took her to the Dr. the other day and we had to take her for a few tests to see whats up. She is only 14, but the doc was thinking maybe gallbladder?!?! Not sure about that. There are no other signs, but there aren't for anything else there either. We shall see. SO, since SHE had to go for blood work early in the morning and NO eating or drinking for the ultrasound, I had been hoarding blood test orders for MONTHS too and decided to get them done. We just got this whole new awesome building built that you can get all your testing done in one place at one time. Then we all went out for breakfast! lol Food is always a good thing!
ALSO, for those that I actually speak or might know, that I have been having terrible headaches for like a month now. I went to the Dr. the other week and had HIGH bp!! ME, geez, go figure?!? lol SO, got some pills and today went back after almost 2 weeks and it has come down. Whew. SO, now I guess I get to take ANOTHER pill every dang day! BUT, I am MORE so hoping that MY headaches GO AWAY and STAY away. They have NOT yet GONE all together.
We also seem to be having some issues with Kimberly at school and her lying and different things. I hope this stops real soon!!!!
I'm gonna call it a day now, but wanted to update some here anyway.

"Family Sunday"

Family Sunday? Hmmm, ever heard of it? It may be a rarity in your house as it was ours. SO, we decided that starting today, NO computers from after breakfast till the end of the day! That may not sound like a big deal to you, but to us it is! My husband is usually on his laptop in the living room on the sofa and I am in another room on my desktop. Sometimes my dd would be outside, or upstairs or here with me on her computer! Yes we are lucky to have that many too! We had our own computer business for about 8 years, so it was kind of a necessity and most are old. Anyway, back to our Sunday. So, what do we do? We want to get a new sofa, so we went and looked at some today. Since is was nice out and NOT raining like it was supposed to be doing, we packed up some drinks and snacks and stopped for some subs and went up to our local Wildlife Perserve called Middlecreek (Project 70) to some of us. When we picked our spot, got our sandwiches out and started eating, it started to pour! lol but, it was ok, we quickly got back to the car and finished eating and by then it was done raining. So we drove around and looked for birds. Kim decided she wanted to ride her bike up there so she did that while we drove slowly behind her on the trail road. We came home and took a break then decided to watch a movie. One of our local libraries had their Big Book sale this past weekend and I bought a bunch of VCR movies for like 50 cents!! Cant beat that. Well, we watched Raiders of the Lost Ark!!!! Indiana Jones. WOW, what a riot that was! I didn't remember being that funny, but it certainly had its parts! With the "new" one coming out, I wanted to show my dd WHO Indy was!!! She really liked it. Maybe I should go on a hunt for the rest of them? Hmmm......
All in all, I think our first family Sunday went pretty well! We figured we have all week and every other night to do whatever and ignore each other! lol At least ONE day should be spent together. We used to do this all the time, I'm not sure how we let slip away.

Ok, so HOW many of you have seen the 'funny' guy dance on Youtube???? You know the one, that goes through a whole bunch of different music and dance moves in like SIX minutes. Well, it came in my email again today and of course I HAD to go watch it again! lol Its great!!!! SO, did you know his name? That he has a Myspace page? That he is an inspirational comedian?? Huh! Well, NOW you will know, because I have been checking out his pages and what not for the last hour or something! I have totally enjoyed it all to! :) Hopefully you will too.
First, his name is Judson Laipply. I visited his website and he of course has the dance evolution on it, but he also has parts from the speeches he gives. AWESOME!!! Im sure Jud will never come to my neck of the woods here in PA, but even IF he put a video out with his speech on it, it would be great!! SO many things rang true. WOW.

Bitter Sweet Story

Well, this reminds me of a few months ago when I was giving like 1/2 my garfield collection away to a great friend and then later having to pack it all away and take it to storage. Its sad, but its the right thing to do.
I have a 55 gallon fish tank, stand and only 2 poor fishes left. A really BIG what I call chocolate pleco and a big silver dollar. Yup, thats it!! Two fish in a 55!!! lol Pretty lame. Well, anyway, I just can NOT and have not taken care of it. It (among other things) is very hard for me to do. So it has been neglected. I get upset, pissed off, angry and saddened once in a while and do something, but its not enough. The filters really need cleaned and the pads changed, but that is major cleaning work. I bought some new filter pads and that is as far as I got. Family to help? HA! They are busy, or NOT, but they don't want to mess with it either. I just don't want to watch the fish die. They still might with a move, but at least I wont know! Wont really be my fault for letting it get so bad either. The algae is terrible too. UGH! :( :( very sad.
The other part of it that is sad.....Greg bought me this tank & stand from a neighbor YEARS ago when we first got together! We lived in a SMALL 1 bedroom, efficiency apartment. I worked across the parking lot in a grocery store. Our neighbor was selling his tank and fish and all of it. I was drooling! He even had angel fish, wish I also loved at that time. We really shouldn't buy it....we really do NOT have any room for it, its HUGE!!!! Well, anyway, I came home from work and they had moved it and had it all set up by the time I got there!!! What a surprise. SO, that part is hard too. But, I know, we know it is for the best! PLUS, we will gain a WHOLE other wall!!!! lol I still have like a 20 gallon long or high or something weird like that downstairs. But, I think for a while now, NO more fish tanks!!!!! Sounds like the people taking are really excited! Oh, that's another thing....I'm giving it and fish away! We tried to sell it a while ago and it was either too big or too old. No one really wanted it I guess. SO, why not give to someone who needs it, wants it?!?!

Spring has Sprung!!

Well, at least it is trying to. It got really nice today, like 70 degrees. I even went out this afternoon/evening and did some yard work! Holy cow. lol My hubby and daughter went away, so I didnt have to make supper or be on a schedule tonight. I went out and cleaned some things up, feed the birds, looked to see what was growing already. WOW. I will probably pay for the work I did tomorrow, but I was 1/2 enjoying myself tonight! I have a few things coming up that I cant remember what they are! lol But, thats half the fun of planting, isnt it? I know must of it, there are just a few spots Im not so sure about.

Since it DID get so warm and sunny/HOT today.....I cant wait to get my hair chopped OFF!! lol If anyone knew me before, I have had really short punky type hair for a long time. Well, now I have a daughter and she wanted to do girly things with hair so I started growing mine. She got hers CUT! lol Oh well!!! lol But, I have left mine grow and decided to get at least the 10 inches needed for Locks of Love. What a COOL idea!!!!! I should have about 11 now, so I am happy with that. I figured I would get it cut by summer time, because I will NOT be able to stand it so thick and long and HOT. I also cant take such good care of it anymore either. I hope to make someone happy with it.

I can NOT wait till Sat! I have an all day crop to go to and its NEW!!!!! I hope/think I will be the only CTMH person there. This is one my friend found in the paper (well actually her hubby!) and its for Tiny Miracles---premie babies and such. Raising money for that organizatioN!!!!! We like that too! :)

I just REALLLY need to chat about cellphones and services and such for a minute. I have been with Sprint like forever. YEARS. This last 2 yrs, NOT so good. THe dang phone didnt even work in my HOUSE!! lol How does that happen? So, for months (since summer) I knew my 2yr contract was up, so I have been asking people what phone and what service they have been using. When theirs WORKS and mine did NOT!!!
I also go up toward the State Collage area (mountains) a few times a year, and wouldnt it be great IF my phone actually WORKED?!? :)
SO, I finally decide Im gonna buy an AT&T phone. Our local Walmart does ATT, so I go there. The girl was great!!! She helped me out alot, told me what I needed to know and answered all my questions. SO, the other Wednesday I came home with a new phone. Sprint of course tried to talk me OUT of leaving them......If I had a newer phone, if this, if that...I Said NO WAY!!!!! YOu do NOT work and it didnt seem to matter about the phone.
SO, I go to the mountatins and the phone WORKS!!! All the way there, at the sb retreat and home again too! Plus, this thing doesnt need charged like FOREVER! Geeez. Its great. I swore I would never get a camera phone, but whats a girl to do when they ALL come with one?!?!? SO, I took a picture of my hubby and kid and can even do this caller picture id thing. Pretty coool!!!! Plus, I snapped a few of my kitties before I left for the weekend too! :)

Blah kind of day

So, yesterday, Wednesday, was a great day. I felt good, the sun was shining....until later! lol
By the end of the night, I KNEW I was getting SICK! UGH. I have missed most of it for the longest time, but I guess it finally caught up to me. I felt absolutly terrible today. YUCK! I couldnt even really nap right because I felt so yuck! Then you KNOW its bad. lol
SO, Ive been popping cold meds and drinking oj and resting. See what tomorrow brings.

On another note. I MUST go watch the Celebrity Apprentice. TRACE Adkins made it to the end!!!! I have NEVER watched this show, and doubt that I will again, but Ive seen a few episodes and it was ok. I KNOW he will KICK the Brits Butt tonight!!! LOL Even if all else fails, its a big party and hes gonna perform at the end too. So, hopefully I can make it to stay AWAKE till 11PM!!! lol

Hey all!!! I cant beleive it has been SO long since I last posted. Geez....Its NOT that I have been THAT busy! lol Maybe lazy is more like it! :) I even took some pictures the other day of some really cool cards that I made using our CTMH's groups random stamped paper and of course my new Cuttlebug dry embossing too. I just love that thing and how it looks when you sand some off and the color POPS with our white core paper.
I have been trying to get ready for a cropping weekend AWAY!!!! I LOVE this for lots of reasons. One, where it is--Mountains!! LOve it there. Two, its like a mini vacation, three I love the people there and always ALWAYS have a great time!!! THis is my third time going there. SO, Hopefully I will get something done this weekend and have even More pics to share on MOnday.....or Tues! lol :)

Quiet Weekend

Nothing much exciting this weekend. I was home all weekend again! lol That wont be happening for a few months again now!! LOL I have something almost every Sat. and/or whole weekend planned for the next 2 months. We had off again on Friday because of some snow. Geeezzz, we get an inch or two of snow and there NO school anymore. But, later in the day it did start raining/freezing so I guess that was good we were NOT out in it.
I was talking about my scrap room that I some how needed more space on my table....my hubby promptly suggested that I get rid of some stuff to make room! lol That's NOT gonna happen. lol SO, he said we could get some brackets, we already had a big piece of wood, and make a shelf or two AND, this is the big thing, I will do it TODAY!!! WOW. That usually doesn't happen unless I beg, plead and yell! Lol So I cleaned most of the desk off and he put up two shelves and now I am slowly putting stuff back and trying to decide what really needs to be in reach, and what can go UP! I am also sorting and getting rid of a few things. I figure if I haven't used them at all or in a year or whatever, I probably will not use them. When I go to my weekend crop in March, there is a yard sale table. Someone else might love to have my stuff.
We went to Friendly's for ice cream sundaes last night. We hadn't done that in a long time and I was hungry for one. Man did that taste good. It took way over 1/2 hr to GET them, but they were yummy! Guess I should go finish putting my room back together and I think we need to eat supper yet to.

Valentines and other small happy thoughts!

Valentines is not such a big deal around my house. We tell each other all the time that we love each other, so it is not such a big deal on that one day. We do like doing something little though. We just got my dd some candy and we all went out for dinner together. They also got me a small flower, which my wonderful dd said...another plant for you to kill mom!! Lol Think she knows? lol Some flowers just do NOT like to live in the house!! Here is a picture of my hubby and me out for our dinner taken by my daughter.

FRIDAY, we had off of school around here, so my daughter and I went to visit grandmom!! Nothing big, just some girl time out. There is always food involved and we decided to go to a local farmers market that is inside. So, lunch took a long time to get to us, but it was very good. Mom & I got Pork & saurkraut, and Kim got a hamburger! lol Then we were walking around and looking to buy a few things and also working on dessert. All of a sudden I spotted my FAVORITE all time thing......A Glazed Preztel Doughnut!!! OMG!!! I couldnt beleive it. lol I didnt think to take a picture of them and they are now GONE! Lol I tried looking for one on the web but couldnt find any that came close to what I am talking about. Its really JUST a glazed doughnut formed into a pretzel, BUT, it just tastes that much better! Lol I used to eat these when I was in like middle school and I do not find them around very often any more. Well, NOW I KNOW were to get them!!! UNfortantly they are VERY close to where my mom lives! But, that is still over 1/2 an hour from me, so I wont be going there to oftne!

ALSO....in other news...I finally bought a Cuddlebug yesterday!!!!! I have beent wanting one and trying to hold off and I just couldnt do it anymore. I had a 1/2 OFF coupon and know were to get cheap embossing folders (which is what I mainly wanted it for), so I did it. I have a Cricut, so I probably wont be using it to actually cut things out to often. I was playing with the few things it came with yesterday and had some fun but havent actually made a card on anything. When I do, I will post it!! Gotta go now...lunch with our friend and some running around.

Snow day Ice day

So the kids got out early yesterday and just in time too! It started snowing around lunch time and kept on with some sort of precepitation all day yet today. It was really snow/icy this morning. We started out with a 2 hour delay. I looked outside and said, YEAH, like I want to go out in this stuff!!!! It looked terrbile, was pouring, still had ice on the driveway/street and side walk. Im a crossing gaurd, NO way did I want to go out there! lol Well, a few minutes later (because you just KEEP checking for updates) they cancelled school. NOW, for the interesting part.....they are supposed to get out early on Thurs, (Plus Im figuring its gonna be another delay in the morning) still icy. Then off on Friday and Monday for Presidents day. Now, Monday should be a make up day and they will go to school. Geeez, what a screwy schedule! Lol
After school yesterday we needed a few things grocery wise, so we quick made a trip to Sharp Shopper. It is sort of a big 'left over' kind of place that also has lots of regular everyday stuff too. Like lots of NO name brands and that, and then some bent n dent I guess you call it. Most of there stuff if fine though. Some prices are NOT better then the regular grocery store and a bunch are. So I have started going there again like every couple of weeks. Lots of like cereals, pastas and snack stuff is great! Anyway, Im glad we did, because I would NOT have gone out today! lol We had milk and bread which seem to be the staple around here IF your gonna get snowed in!! lol Had lots of lunch and snacky type stuff too...which Im not sure is good or bad?!? hhhmm
I like to have some snack foods around, but then I EAT THEM!!! lol
I cleaned my scraproom up some yesterday and it and other things today. Trying to get stuff were it belongs and all together with its like stuff. Does that make sense? lol It seems I start to put like old school thing here, and then I forget or cant get there, so I start another pile....Im trying to get them into ONE pile now. I like to be organized!!! Doesnt always work, but I try!

Her First Valentine

So, my 14 year old daughter has a boyfriend. They only see each other in school, write notes, make little hearts with their names in them, stuff like that. But they appear to really like each other and care about each other about as much as you can when you are that age! lol SO, yesterday she said that HE had something for her for Valentines day and wanted to quick stop by the house to drop it off. She got the cutest biggest stuffed teddy bear and a nice card. It was so cute! To have someone care about you and do something just for her.....it just made my day almost as much as it did hers!! :)

I dont think I have talked about to much on here, but I have Fibromyalgia. IF you never heard of it, be GLAD!! If you have it or someone you know has it, Im very sorry. My reason for bringing it up today is because I have been going to,helping and then running a FM support group in my area for about 10 years or so. I think, time flies when your having fun! LoL. Fibro and CFS (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) plus about 100s of other types of things are all "under" the Arthritis Foundation. They sponser support groups, get info out there, raise money and awareness, that sort of thing. Well, this group has never been a big one, but there are some of us regulars and we often get new people come that we feel we can help out, so we just keep going no matter if its just us few or 10 others. Well, the Arthrits Foundation thinks we should have MORE education, which basically means more speakers, and they just do NOT provide them for Fibro. They have lots of Drs and things for other types of arthrits, but not us. It is very hard to get someone to know, speak, teach or heal. So, we have decided today to split ways. My coleader and I will most likely continue to have a meeting once a month some where, weather it be a restaurant of parking lot or fast food joint! Lol We can keep some of the regulars and ourselves and not have anyone left to answer to but ourselves. This has been a long time coming, but now that it has happened, I feel like a big weight was lifted off my shoulders. Now, no one will be looking over my shoulder and wondering what Im doing or why Im doing it. Anyway, we actually have our meeting tonight, so we can discuss and decide what we will do for next month. If only ONE person shows up, then so be it. We are pretty much all friends now anyway! lol

Weekend and stuff

Well, I was very busy on Friday getting ready to go away for my weekend crop and also for the Home party show on Sunday. Whew....I was tired by the time I got to camp on Friday night! lol

I didnt even take lots of pics. I usually do, even if I never use them, I like to see where Ive been! lol I left then on Sat. night to come home so me and my bunkmates could get some sleep. Apparently I snore VERY loudly!! It was sooo hot and dry there, I dont think that helped any, plus I was trying to get a cold.

Sundays Home Party Show went pretty good. All the planning and worrying and doing and all of a sudden it was here. There were LOTS of people!!! I couldnt beleive ALL the people! Lol

My friend Sandy helped me man the stand and we handed out lots of Free older catalogs, my business card with a little 1x1 stamp and another paper with my info and CTMH mission on it. SO, my name and CTMHs products are out there. People really loved the free IdeaBOoks!!! Everyone likes free stuff, especially something you can really use!

I have some people interested in doing some sort of workshop, so that will be next on my list. I have been sick most of this week. My ears and head hurt SO bad on Monday, I didnt do anything. Its getting better though every day.

I dont know what is wrong with me today, but Im just NOT into it!? lol I am going away tomorrow for a weekend of scrapbooking, I do have to leave early because on Sunday I am setting up at a Home Pary Show. This is my very first time at something like this and this is a BIG one! I have NO clue if what I have is OK, how much I should show, HOW I show it?!?! UGH!!! HELP! lol SO, I guess Im just stressing out a tad bit! I realized not to long ago that the things I have been making in the last few months at meetings and such to show potential customers.....are ALL Christmas! lol So, if you want to see a really great christmas layout or some very pretty cards, I got them. Its FEB tomorrow, I dont think too many of us really want to be reminded about christmas. SO, Im trying to do some other kinds of cards. Then you think, well, I dont have THAT paper or THAT color ink or THAT stamp set!!! Whats a girl to do? lol
I am still debating how & what I want to give as a door prize too. Gift certificates are nice, but people might get more excited if they were actually getting someTHING instead. Maybe some of both? Hhhmm My friend is helping me on Sunday and Im sure I will drive her totally NUTSO till the end of the weekend!! :) I will let you know what, how it goes. Wish me luck. Cross your fingers (& toes). Pray for me.

My First day with my NEW VAN!!!!

I actually picked up the van yesterday afternoon and took a few pics quick. Which is good, because it was raining/sleeting cold YUCK all day today! So, Im liking this pretty much.....new vehicle, looks nice, comfortable, a million buttons to play with! Lol My first big MiniVAN experience.....I went to the drive thru at the bank this morning and the lady asked IF I wanted any lollipops!!!!! UGH!!! lol What, have van must have kids??? lol NO way! lol But thats ok, I let it slide once. I really do like it, it is so much easier to get in and out of and is up a little bit higher. I cant wait to go on one of my scrapping weekend road trips!! Fill up the back with stuff, use the cruise control! Oh yeah, Im there!! lol

Mixed Feelings

Well, if you have been hanging around here you may remember that we were trying to sell our Jeep for a little while now, so we could buy me a van. TODAY, we finally SOLD IT!!!!

So, I should be happy, right? Well, I have mixed feeling about it. First off, when my husbands parents passed away years ago, that is when we bought it. Then, we had joined a jeep club and went "jeeping" as we call it. Mostly guided rides through Paragon Adventure park. It was usually very fun. The only bad things were if I really hurt it hurt me more and if I didnt when we started, I would when we were done! lol But it was a nice day OUT for us kinda by ourselves that didnt cost too much. The other bad thing.....NO toilets! Yup, you had to go in the woods! lol SOmetimes that was NOT fun either. lol When Kimberly came into our life, we went a few times with her too and other times they would go and I would stay home. Then it got to be too much for us. I know my husband loved driving his jeep and he will miss it, but I also know since it was lifted that he was starting to have some problems getting in and out of it too. We did not use that as a 'family' car anymore thats for sure!! It was great in the summer, with the top off and the wind in your hair and the sun on your face. Kind of like our 4 wheel motorcycle!! lol SInce we didnt ride those anymore either. SO, now we got rid of all the FUN stuff, he gets to drive my Buick!!!! LOL and I am getting a miniVAN! Who wouldve thought?? NOT me, not in a million years. We were all a little sorry to see it go, but all in all we know it was the right thing to do.

Ok, my husband gets some crazy ideas in his head sometimes, but this one may just be worth following. IF you have any children over the age of 2 on UP, you probably (hopefully) have some clue about the music that they are listening too. Well, if you are anything like us, that is VERY difficult some times. The names of the bands and people are one thing, but when you look up the words to these songs, you then need a dictionary to figure out what the heck all those words mean.
Well, this is what my husband is now working on. My daughter (14) wants to listening to the songs that her friends do and talk about. We are pretty strict (my hubby even more so then me) so, she isnt allowed to listen to a lot of the same things other kids her age are.
Anyway, so he would look up the song and THEN look up the lyrics. THAT was the scary part. One song was talking about his girl being superman or something, and that had to do with sex!! Who comes up with this stuff? And who would even THINK that it is NOT appropreaite?
SO, he started a blog here http://crapdefined.blogspot.com/ and will be looking into some of our top songs.
It is all pretty interesting! I hope that more parents and teachers start to pay attention to this stuff.

YES, the weekend. I am NOT so patiently waiting. I have a crop all day Sat. and I have been looking forward to it for a while now. I have been doing more scrapbooking and card making and stamping and that at home, but I still like to go 'out' and do it too!

Weird Weather

I live in PA, and we are about an hour away from Harrisburg. The Farm Show started last weekend and runs thru this weekend. Usually when it is that time of the year, we get LOTS of snow. Like 1-2 FEET or something like that. This year...NOT even close. We are breaking record temps in the HIGHS!!! Its been like springtime here this week. Very strange.

Very Productive weekend

Well, I was at an all day crop yesterday and made a few cards and a 2 page layout with CTMH new Serendipity set. Man is that AWESOME! lol I will take pics later, but figured IF I waited, nothing would get done on here. lol ALSO, I think we have a buyer for our old and sitting Tahoe!! That is WAY awesome. It was like our 3rd car, and it still runs great but needed work that would could neither afford or do. SO, a friend may be buying it and her hubby is a mechanic, so no big deal for them. And they really needed another vechile. Cool, huh?

FINALLY got the christmas stuff OUT of my living room today too! WOW. Everything was basically packed up, but was waiting to go back to storage(instead of the basement). SO, we did that today. whew Hubby got a lot done yesterday and today too. He got his hard top on the Jeep so we can get that ready and get an ad in the paper to sell it.....so eventually I HOPEFULLY can buy that VAN!!! Lol Yes, that is STILL in the works. We put down a small deposit and luckily they are very nice people for letting it sit and wait for us to do our thing.

New Year

Ive been thinking about coming here since the new year and what I could write, but just havent made it till now! I dont make new years resolutions....why bother? lol I have dreams, goals, things I would LIKE to see happen, but doesnt everybody? And why only on New YEars? I dont know. lol
I have a crop to go to tomorrow. FINALLY A day out of the house and away from everyone! lol Dont get me wrong, I LOVE my family, but I need my Sat. scrap day away sometimes too!!! With the new CTMH catty and all kinds of awesome new papers and stamps and toys, I cant wait to play with them all tomorrow. Well, maybe not ALL of them, but some anyway! I have another crop on the 19th then too. Except I finally get to be a CTMH vendor for this one. How awesome is that? VERY!! lol I have been going to this crop for a while now. She has a few a year and its a crop for a cure to raise monies for the cancer relay team. Its great. Last summer, Lisa Bearnson from Creative Keepsakes even came to visit her!!!! She (Lisa B.) gave us all a magazine, autographed it and talked to each one of us and let us take pics too! It was really awesome!
Well, I think I hear my pillow calling my name. I have another headache and just cant stand it anymore. Hopefully with sleep I wont fell it anymore. HOPEFULLY.

Simple Pleasures

Yes, Simple pleasures. Thats what I had last night. My hubby and dd went away for some last minute gift and food shopping and I stayed HOME...by myself and took a break! SO, I turned on the tv ( I read and am on the computer ALL the time) so watching tv is different for me. I found an Ice skating special. I think it was Brain Boytano?(sp) SO, I turned it on and he was just starting to skate a new routine and it was country. The song was an old one from Sonny & Cher! lol Then he continued with another newer upbeat song (CottonEyedJoe!) That used to be a very popular country line dance song and really MOVES!!! When he was done and the next person was introduced, they were going to skate to Barry Manilow singing LIVE right there with them!!! OMG!! He is my all time favorite too!!! I LOVE Barry! Well, it was not just that one song, he sang a bunch more for the next hour for a bunch of different skaters. PLUS, then Dorothy Hamill was skating too. I used to love her to when I was growing up. Heck, we even had hair cuts like hers!!! lol SO, to see her skate again and to Barry singing, it was AWESOME!!!
It was great to that NO one was home to pick on my OR my skating OR Barry singing! I had a great hour!
THEN, of course it was over, family came home, and back to reality!! lol

Well, I see by the count down that Christmas is only 9, yes NINE days away!!! WOW. Most of this month it hasnt even FELT like winter or DECEMBER! At least NOT here in PA!!
Ready or not, its coming. Are YOU ready? We are just about there. Most of the gifts are bought and done and we just got the cards done and ready to go out this weekend. Whew.........
Might pick up a few more small things for stockings and candy and stuff like that. We ordered something else the other night too that should be here soon. Then, My big thing is wrapping! UGH....I really do NOT like to do it and we ALWAYS wait till the LAST minute. We are usually UP late Christmas Eve wrapping and playing and doing the whole santas elf thing! Lol But, all the money and work IS worth it to see my daughters excitement and faces and FUN on Christmas day! :)

BUT, I also was productive THIS weekend. I got all the candles done, bagged and tagged and hubby delivered them on Sat. since he had to go in to work for a bit. Then we all sat down and did our Christmas cards yesterday too! Yipppie. I am gonna try to put a picture here of the candles.

I think in all we made about 15!!! Then I bought the glass holders and then wrapped it in tissue paper and put each one in its own little gift bag. It worked out pretty cute. AND, my daughter got to help!!

Well, the weather is horrible here today. Not sure if it will get worse, like its supposed to or not. The schools closed early and the children are home.
I think I am going to go try to make some gifts that I really NEED to get done soon!! Then tonight hopefully we will do our cards and get them sent out. Then, I will be pretty much caught up. We dont really have much to buy yet. Im done no matter what! lol No more time soon and no money will help that right along.
OK, off to be productive.

HEY, guess I should fill the last however long in! We are still trying to get the old car Buick fixed...theres a list. Also, trying (wanting) to sell the Jeep so we can buy the van. We went away for thanksgiving and we borrowed the van to go. It was very nice! Comfortable, nice ride, lots of room too. Guess a van isnt soo bad. I feel terrible though...."I" HAVE to have a new car, so we have to sell the jeep. I think everyone is bummin. Its not comfortable for any of us, its not a family car, and we just can NOT keep fixing it. Unfortuntaly we dont even go in the woods to 4wheel anymore either. BUT, I still feel bad.

Tried to get some christmas decorating done this past weekend. That usually doesnt go well either. A LOT of things right now are not going right for me. Im a problem! Between my pain and trying to do things and NOT being able to do things and REALLLLY wanting to do things, I struggle. SO, I nag hubby to bring up the decorations, then I need to DO it. The only problem with that is, you must UNDO everything and clean up before you can DO the decorating! lol Here lays the problem. TOO much work. I know I should and DO do it in sections...or a little at a time. That is the only way I CAN do it. It will get there.

Do you ever feel that you dont appreciate what you have? I have been thinking that a BUNCH lately. There are things I want and maybe even need, but I already HAVE sooo much that I am not grateful for it seems. I have a car, but I need a better one, a newer one, just Because I WANT one.....that doesnt sound nice. Sometimes I just need to step back and breathe and appreciate what I already Have. Its hard to do that sometimes I think. I mean everyone always wants something else or more, no matter what we have.

OK, enough pity party. I gotta go make supper and do something!!!

Car Saga continues......

UGH, this CAR (Buick) is turning into a money pit! SO, I take it to the garage yesterday, drop it off and ask them to change the oil, do a 4 wheel alignment and rotate the tires. I pick it up HOURS later, the only thing done is the oil change AND we have a WHOLE new list of STUFF WRONG with this car. So, those noises I was hearing.....they really WERE something! SO, I have TWO bad tires, some bushings things in the front and a different sort in the back (where we have been hearing noises) AND my serpentine belt has some chunks out of it!!!! WOW. So, I cant afford the new van, I cant really afford to fix this car all the time, but you have to! I also think that cars KNOW when you have a little extra $$$!!!! I am supposed to be going away this weekend to my friends over 2 hrs away, and we are taking MY car away for Thanksgiving too. SO, we gotta do something.
I was supposed to go do some learning/stamping stuff this morning at my up lines house, but I decided NOT to. Was almost ready to walk out the door, but I just couldn't do it. This has NOT been the greatest week of my life and I'm either having panic attacks or a nervous breakdown...or both!? Who knows. I need to pack and get ready to leave tonight yet too. I wasn't sure I was going, so I didn't do anything last night to get ready! We are going to be making cookies and fudge. Yum. Maybe this will help me 'get it together' a little better. Taking a break and seeing my girlfriend.

Well, I'm not sure yet and it wont happen today, BUT, we are looking for another car for me and we seem to be heading in the MINI-VAN direction!!! UGH! ME?!? lol I have a 4 door Buick now and we are getting rid of our Jeep, and wanted to try to get another SUV type vehicle. Hubby will probably end up with my car then. Well, suv types are expensive to buy and to repair...so we started looking at other things. I dont want another 'car' like the Buick, or I would just keep it. I want and we need, something a little higher off the ground and a little bigger. I looked at a Pontiac Transport (Montana) last night to get the idea. Its got ALL the bells and whistles that I really wanted but did NOT think we would be able to get. It has LOTS of miles on it though?!? I don't know what to think. I am going to go and take it for a test drive today, just to see what I think and IF its comfortable. I'll let you know!!! School gets out early today, so we are off to a longer weekend. lol :)

Calligraphy, Volunteer Lunch, shopping, etc!

I have been really busy the past few days. Trying to get some things done. Ran some errands and went to Walmart shopping on Tuesday. I spent over TWO hours in that store!! HOW? Well, for one, no kid, NO hubby!!! Plus I wasn't quiet done and it was lunchtime, so I got a bite to eat at the Subway there too! Got a few Christmas presents too. Then last night I went to a class at my local scrapbook store last night on Calligraphy. It was pretty cool!! After about 2 hours straight of writing and hand cramping, we were all tired! lol It was hard for the teacher to show us on a white board, like how to hold the pen and at what angle, but when she came and showed us on our paper with the pen, it worked much better!
I volunteer at a local clothing/food bank every Wednesday morning and I went there today then we also had our Thank You lunch today too. Its when the board members and such serve US volunteers and just thank everyone. It is really nice.
OH, I almost forgot.....I actually WON something on the FIskateers online crop this weekend too! I cant wait to get it!!! I will let you know what and when.
Tomorrow......I don't think I have anything on the calendar!

Well, its been a while again. I got my car back and then was never home! lol I was gone pretty much the last 2 weekends. Beginning of Oct. was my whole weekend crop at CRC in/near Port Royal, PA. A GRRREAT place to go and awesome people too!! I LOVE it up there. and NO my car did NOT break down! Lol I had the same person with me too, so I'm really glad that did not happen! Now I have to wait until March to go there again. I love the mountains and the scenery.
Today, I was cleaning!!! What the heck brought THAT on? I have NO clue. lol I think I am just tired of living in a mess. I really paid for it tonight though. I hurt like the dickens. ouch. I was doing the kitchen. I dusted some, swept, cleaned off a whole rack of cookbooks, and then mopped and put everything back again!!! Whew. My dd helped me fix it when she got home from school. We even cleaned the wooden chairs! Geeez, scary!
We had a wedding to go to on Sat. It lasted ALL day! Between wedding and reception, and how far away it was, we left around noon and did not get home until like 1030 at night. Long day for all of us. We slept in on Sunday (still NO church?) and then we met some friends for a late lunch.
Tomorrow, I must take some of my not wanted scrapbook items into a store. She has this AWESOME scrapbook yard sale coming up on Sat. We take our stuff in (priced and # and ready to go) she sells it to whoever comes for the yard sale, keeps track of it all and then gives us our money to spend in her store!!!! I LOVE it. I was only there as a buyer last year, and got some great stuff. NOW, I'm taking a box in and hoping to do well on both ends! :)
Well, the rest of the family is in bed. Guess I should head there too.

FINALLY got my car back!

Well, I actually got it back on Sat, but I wasn't home most of the day because I was at a crop. Then I was to tired to care! lol It is nice however to look out the window and actually SEE MY CAR THERE!!! I almost thought on Friday afternoon, that we were NOT going to be able to pick it up. The bill was almost $400!!!!!! Geeeez, where are you supposed to get that kind of money anyway? lol NOT in MY checkbook, that's for sure. But, some how, as usual, things kinda worked out. We got to pick up the car. It is DIRTY/DUSTY/ yuck gross. Did I mention it was DIRTY? Apparently there is a quarry right near this garage. So, besides the dust, the dew helped and it all stuck to my car! lol
So, back to work I go tomorrow. I bet the kids and everyone wonder where I have been ALL WEEK.
Worked some in my new scrap room again today. Not scrapping, but cleaning, organizing, figure out just how I want things!
Gotta get ready to go away this weekend. Leaving Friday night, coming home Sunday. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! Its about almost 2 hrs away (if I remember right?!) My friend and I were there in like May and this is with the same people same place.
That was also where I got to see and hear an Indigo Bunting for the first (and only)time!!!!

WeekDay 3 NO CAR!!!

Well, this is the 3rd week day without a Car! I dont like it very much. I cant go to work, cant get errands done, cant just GO!! The garage still has NOT called, apparently they are very busy!? IF they dont call by lunch time, Im gonna start calling them. You would also think, that if I was stuck at home ALL day, I would get something PRODUCTIVE done!? NO way! lol In fact, I think I have gotten LESS done. I have been very tired lately, so usually do fall asleep sometime in the morning. Im still getting UP with hubby and dd in the am too. Dont get me wrong, Ive gotten a few minor things done. I will work on doing something more again today. Nothing else excting right now.

Well, in case I didn't say it before, I HATE CARS! Mostly when they don't work and especially when they leave me & a friend sitting over an HOUR AWAY from home!!!!! UGH. So, I went to this really great CTMH Christmas card making day yesterday and we didn't get more then 10mins down the road on the way home and my car DIED! I was still sort of going, but like the gas pedal was not giving me any gas. NO, I did NOT run OUT!! lol I have a FULL tank! Luckily, I realized something was wrong and quickly pulled OFF the road. It started, but would not stay started and isn't getting gas. SO, My hubby had to come get us. I called a friend that was still at the church cleaning up and she came and got us so we could wait there instead of on the road, then took us back to my car when hubby was almost to it. He looked did a few things, but nothing was happening. Him & a friend went back there today to see what they could do. Well, nothing still worked. Just so happened though that there was a garage a little ways down that I had passed before it died, so they got down the hill to there, left a note and the keys! We shall see what it is, how much and hopefully they can fix it. Thank GOD for lots of friends and wonderful helpers.
On a good note. I did have a great time making/teaching cards all day. The consultants made theirs after everyone else was done. I have a few finished and plan to finish the rest, then I will take pictures and share. They are all great, but there is one I LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!! The stamp is a cardinal and the card is put together different, so it is just awesome!!! (It is one that I made sure to finish so I would not mess it up!) I also learned a lot of new things too and met some great people.

Well, Nothing like going back to school and work to keep you moving! I never even finished telling you about my car. I think it is just getting old and very tired and with practically NO maintance, it is not a happy car either! lol BUT, it got me to my girlfriends house 3 hours away this past weekend and back home, so I guess I cant complain too much!!

I dont even remember if I talked about my bday? I will certainly have to put some pictures up here. My new scrapRoom is great!!!!

SO, this is it!! Everything was moved out of this room (not the big rooltop desk or a china hutch) but all the junk! Lol And, MY scrap table with the shelves there, was moved into it and I got another table too!!!! THis is just WAY coool!!!

SO, I have been organizing and making more of a mess and yes, actually working on a few things too! I will have to post some stuff then.

Lost weekend

WOW, I guess its been a while since Ive written. With school starting and then Labor Day weekend, birthdays and all kinds of events, I think I got lost! lol We were off on Friday and we did all of our errands. Driving from one end of the county to the other, Lunch with my mom at Sonics! lol
Sat. I went to an Indian pow-wow with a friend and met my mom and her friends there. It was a gorgeous day!!! Its in a park, so there is shade. My hubby & dd stayed home and worked reallllly hard to clean up his/our junk room and moved my scrapping table over there and now I have a scrap room!!! I will try to post some pics later on from that too. Sunday was my bday, so we went out for breakfast and just had a nice day. Monday we all had off yet, so we slept in some, then went to AC Moore later and out to eat. THAT was an adventure of its own. Geeezzz, I didnt think it was going to be THAT hard to find a place that was OPEN and also would actually wait on us.
Tuesday was back to school. Getting caught up now and trying to get a routine going again. Got lots more to say from the weekend too. OH, I gotta tell you about my car too! :( BBL

First Day Of School

Well, today was the first day of school. As much as I could NOT wait for summer to be over and school to start again, I MUST admit that it felt a little weird without Kimberly around today. I started back to work today too as a crossing guard, so I was up early and did something. I was also very productive today!! :) That IS saying a lot for me! lol I folded some wash and put it away, put clean dishes away and loaded the dishwasher too. Figured I would give the kid a break on her first day back to school. I actually watched about 1/2 hour of TV today too!! lol Very rarely do I do that. It was a scrapbooking show on DIY. Pretty cool. I think that is only like the second time I have gotten to see it.
SWAPS Man, all of a sudden it seems I am up to my elbows in swaps and such. Guess I better get with it. I have a receipe swap, card swap, something else I havent figured out what Im making yet swap and I have to cut up some new papers from CTMH for a group swap so we all have the NEW paper packets to show off! Thats an easy one!
Well, guess I better go see what to make for supper now too. Whew.....long day.

OK, I have to know how many of you remember, loved or maybe even still play or have the Old Nintendo? Remember Super Mario Brothers? 1, 2 AND 3? Well, we have a few older game systems and none new. Sometimes I think we are the only family on the block that doesn't, but, its not a big thing in our household. Well, years (lots of them ) ago, I had all these and some "cheater" books to go with some of the games. So, my daughter and I play them once in a while. We got it out last week and spent days going through SM3. lol We had to use the old Game Genie (do they make those anymore?) but, we finally got through the WHOLE thing and she got to beat the Big Bad Kroopa at the end! We were playing for a few days, on and off, then Friday decided we were gonna do the WHOLE thing. We sort of pooped out around 9:30, BUT, hubby said, shut the TV off, leave the game on and finish it later. Boy, sometimes he is just too smart!! That's why I married him. :) SO, then on Sat. afternoon, we finished the last of the world. We had a really good time beating the bad guys together and accomplishing something too. Studying the book to see which was the best way to go and how much further we had to go. Summer is over and school starts on Monday, so we probably wont do many more SB3 marathons. Maybe we should move on to the Sega now????

Whole NEW Experience

My husband & I got to experience something very different yesterday. We were invited to a Mennonite wedding. It was his coworker that was getting married and they invited us! He has only been working there since around the beginning of the year, so it was a surprise. We did not know exactly what to expect, but I think both of us were excited and wanted to see how they did things.
I am NOT picking on OR making fun of anyone or anything.
They were registered at Walmart for gifts. So, we checked out their list and went shopping. NO big expensive or extravagant items for them. Mostly ALL practical things for them or the house. When we got there, we noticed that most of the gifts were not even wrapped! A few were, some were in gift bags, and others were just brought in as is. The service and dinner were at the same place. So, we went in and walked to the Chapel part. There were two ushers to seat everyone. So we waited our turn and told the man that we were coworkers and got sat. The service started pretty much on time. NO big hubbub about a wedding party walking in, the bride & groom came in together and went up front and then a few Fathers/preachers/elders. Not sure exactly, but they all spoke. There were four of them. So, we sang a few Hymns, they read scripture, we sang a few more, read some more, then one of them did the wedding ceremony part (close to what ours would be) in words anyway. BUT, NO big fancy wedding dress, NO flowers, NO music playing, NO photography and NO wedding rings!!!! Oh, and NO you may now kiss the bride either! From our understanding, no public displays of affection. I did not have a big to do wedding, but I can not imagine 'our' world with out all that big hype. My goodness, what would brides do? lol No thousand dollar dresses and months of planning. No dead flowers!! So, the service was about two hours long then we were ushered out row by row then the rest were allowed to leave as they could. (still by row) We all congratulated the couple on the way to the dinner tables, where we were seated again according to the seating chart. After everyone was seated, another prayer for the meal. WOW, and what a meal it was. Yummmy!!! It was sort of home style. There were a bunch of people serving all the tables. They brought out one thing at a time for each table per side and you passed it down and then it went back to the kitchen. Lots of great food. Oh, and when we saw the new couple we were given a pen with their names and date and thank you for being there. At the table was a 'card' to explain the blank card. We were to write whatever wisdom we chose to share with the newlyweds! That was pretty fun too. There was already cake on the table too. No big to do over one of those either. Then after all the food was passed around and all of us were stuffed, another prayer and then it was over.
I do think they were getting a few pictures taken in the chapel though when we went to leave. It was a great experience and we had a nice time. Really makes you think about all that "EXTRA" stuff we think we need, when all that really matters is GOD and us!

Well, in case you cant tell by the title of todays post, I went to the Creating Keepsakes Convention here in Valley Forge, PA today. This was my first time and Im sure will not be the last! My friend and I had a great time. There were WAY TOO many people though. Everyone had told me it would be crowded, but WOW. You could barely move and then you almost always bumped into someone and all of us had these BIG bags on our shoulders to carry our "stuff"! lol THEN, you got to stand in a long line to pay for your goodies. There was a Dollar Scrapbook Store there.....we had to stand in line to SHOP! Yes, thats right!!! There was NO room to move, so you stood in line, looked as you moved around the bend and up the next aisle and to the register to pay! What a hoot. We didnt take any classes (maybe NEXT year), I didnt see anyone famous, but I did see a bunch of people I knew. That was funny. ALL those people and Im running into friends and scrappers I met at crops! lol Unless I missed something, I didnt come home with any freebies and even the make 'n' takes for most companies cost money! NOT that you could even get to those. My friend decided that next year, it would be worth taking OFF on Friday and going!!! Less crowded. We heard some vendors saying it was really quiet then. Unless you spent like at least $50 at ONE stand, there really wasnt any bargins either. Which I couldnt do either. Most of the items were normal everyday things at normal everyday prices. There were a few unique stands and some different things that you wouldnt see in your local ACmoore or Michaels. I got a few nice things that Im happy with, had a great day with my friend and know better what NOT to do next year!

My Week!!!

Oh my! SO I went away to a crop and had a great time with a bunch of friends. Came home a little early on Sunday. I was supposed to go see the Harry Potter movie. Ended up not feeling so great for 2 days!! THEN these last 2 havent been so great either. Found out I had a DR appt today that I totally forgot about (THank God they called the day before to remind ME!). Went to go to appt. today, and got LOST!!! Yes, Lost on the way to a Dr I only go see like once a year. Duh me. I didnt even have his phone #. I had to call my hubby, get the number, call for directions and see IF I should still come because I was SO late! Geez. Finally got all that done. Came home, then dd had a Dr. appt at 2, then we went to the grocery store. I barely made it throught the store I started to feel really bad again. THEN, on the way home it started POURING SO BAD!!!!!! Our food was soaking wet before we could even get it in the house. Then of course like 5 mins later....it STOPPED raining! Lol Go figure.
Oh, yeah, and we went to see Harry Potter last night. It was not all that great. I dont know IF its just me or what, but I have SO much trouble hearing and understanding the talking in these movies. Then, I kid you NOT, there was someone towards the front of the thearte that MUST have had a walkman/mp3 player ON and I could hear it!!!! When the movie was kinda quiet.....at first I thought I was hearing things! lol Also, they were like the most UNcomfortable seats. UGH>

Im Back!!!!

Well, even though I really didnt say Goodbye, I figured I would say Hello and that Im back from my fun and relaxing weekend crop!!! I was not far from home but that is ok. I left Friday before supper and didnt come back till Sunday afternoon. I am not feeling so great so I dont know what happened. TOO much fun I guess! Lol I met a bunch of new wonderful people and got to see a few old friends too. Yes, I actually DID get some pages done too! Lol I did not go shopping at all this weekend either! WOW. I really dont "need" anything (not that that has ever stopped me before). But, I am trying to behave. It is storming here now and I am still very tired from my weekend, so I think I will go hit the hay.

Ok, so, IF you dont like medical stuff and/or Feet...do NOT read this!!!!!! lol
I HATE feet!!!! Mine, his, yours, doesnt matter. SO, for a while now (like at least a MONTH) I have had these 2 little pimple/bump type things on the bottom of my right foot. One on the heel and 1 like middle toward the toes. I decided they were NOT going to go away on their own. So after looking things up and trying different things, up to and including IGNORING it....I decided I HAD to go to the DR. SO, yesterday (Tuesday) I go. They were WARTS!! UGH...gross. I Never had one of those anywhere and dont think I wanted them ON my FOOT!!! SO, the nurse/dr lady tells me, I will have to make an appt. to come back when there is time and get them FROZEN OFF! UGH WHAT??? This doest NOT sound like fun! lol Then she comes back in and tells me that she has time NOW, did I want to do it. NO, NOT really, but I did. Well, that part was NOT so bad. It was uncomfortable, a little weird and a LOT cold!! I walked out, drove home and then sat on the sofa. At first it didnt feel too bad, but later it was like throbing and jabbing. WELLLLLL, let me tell YOU something....a few hours later I could NOT WALK ON MY FOOT!!!!!!! I had SOOO much PAIN I could NOT beleive it. Geeezzz, what the heck. It hurt worse then it did BEFORE I went to the DR! I felt like there was something jabbing me in those spots (the heel one was not as bad) and my foot was swollen(at the toes) and on HOT too!!! Nothing we had here seemed to help, and none of us knew what to do. I called my bestest gf who is a nurse and said HELP!!! IT hurts! lol SO, I took a pain pill, put some "magic stuff" on it and started to feel a tad better. Then before bed, I put some ice on it too. I CRAWLED, yes crawled to bed!! UP the stairs and into the bed!!! OH, yeah, did I forget to tell you......when I TRIED to stand up earlier and I was in SO much pain and crying, my dd went downstairs and got the CRUTCHES? LOL I had never in my life even Used a crutch, so that didnt do me much good either! lol What a mess. I could not beleive this. SO, Im thinking.....did the lady do something weird or wrong? Am "I" just a wuss? lol She did tell me that in a sense she was giving me Frostbite, so, maybe that just HURTS. I also have the fibro and we are MORE sensitive to nerve ends and the pain, so maybe that too. I felt so stupid. It was only a wart for petes sake. lol
SO, that was my adventure yesterday! I woke up at 4am and it wasnt so bad, and now that this day is about over, its getting better. I can almost walk normal again.

Summer is BUSY!

OK, so I missed posting for a while. The final days of VBS, I was REALLLLY tired and sore and just wanting to get through it. I LOVE doing it, but by the end of the week, Im DONE for. :)

Sat. I was away all day and also on Sunday.

Anyone know what a SWARM is?? If you have a cricut, you might know. Its actually just like a crop but with people that have Cricuts! lol I went to my first one in York, PA this past weekend. It was fun. Here is a picture of our group.

Sunday we went to a BIG church RODEO!!! lol Yes, I said rodeo. This church is huge on doing stuff with and for the community. SO, to kick off THEIR VBS, they had a rodeo all day on Sunday. It was HOT HOT HOT, but fun to see and I know the kids all had a great time.

This is in reply to the FDA announcement from my Fibrohugs Newsletter and what some of them had to say.
Original Newsletter:Hi there my friends,As disclosed in every newsletter that I put out, here is an example why I have a disclaimer! My disclaimer has always been something to this affect - "Fibrohugs does not necessarily agree with, or endorse, the contents of articles written by others but choose to send them to you so that you can make up your own mind".Although I neither agree nor disagree about the beneficial use of this drug, I guess as I read the article below I found it very ironic when I got to the "Safety Warnings" about this drug. Here is what it says:............Safety: The most common side effects of Lyrica include dizziness and sleepiness, blurry vision, weight gain, trouble concentrating, swelling of the hands and feet, and dry mouth. Allergic reactions can also occur. These are rare, but potentially serious. FDA advises patients to talk with their doctors about whether using Lyrica will impair their ability to drive.............Is it just me or are the side effects from this drug listed above the type of symptoms we're trying to get rid of? Oh well, I guess someone needed a reason to come up with the phrase "Oxymoron" LOLThanks for letting me throw in my personal 2 cents worth and, remember, that's exactly what it's worth. 3. Yes, when reading about the side effects of lyrica, my excitement immediately was gone. Why would anyone take a drug that has the same side effects that the drug is to be used for. How would anyone know if it helped or not? Guess some must have been helped a lot, so any information sent out could be worthwhile. Also, though, it seems like this drug works very similiarly to Neurontin. wonder if one could safely tak both at the same time. Neurontin definitely helps me. with the pain, but not with fatigue or sleepiness. DM
4. Hey.... Lyrica IS helpful!!!! For the first time in many years I can actually TOUCH the inside of my knees without excruciating pain after taking it for about 3 months. I actually have MORE energy and do not experience the mentioned side effects. My neck and shoulder pain is less also and for ME it is the ONLY significant pain relief I've found without strong doses of narcotic pain killers. Don't knock it until you have tried it!!!!!! OM

6. After discussing with a few chronic pain specialists, and investigating this drug, the side effects far outweigh any benefits for Fibromyalgia as far as I'm concerned. I have lived with Fibromyalgia/Chronic Fatigue for 17 years, read and been examined by many, so the hype on this drug is just that...hype...I am truly hopeful that the CAUSE of this syndrome is discovered rather than hearing about so many cures. 7. Hi, I tried Lyrica over a year ago and it was not helpful. Just when I was thinking I was going crazy, tonight you and another person sent me information that confirmed how I have been feeling. Not being able to get out of bed, chronic pain and feeling like a wimp. JH
8. Hi Ken, I agree with you... Its amazing to me how this drug did not cause the people that tested this drug many of the side effects listed, since its known that we are very sensitive to almost everything. Maybe it depends on how intense someone with fibro has it. I know years ago that I was hardly sensitive to anything. That changed drastically over the years. Anyway, I am really shocked that this drug is the first to be approved for fibromyalgia. There was another one in clinical trials for years, I think its Minalciprin. Its used in some other countries and the reports read good results and if I recall correctly it did not have a severe list of side effects like lyrica does. I guess its still stuck in clinical trial land.I was given lyrica by a Dr. late 2005 and still have the samples. I was scared after reading the list of effects especially about the rash. But I did try one and was so out of my mind, dizzy is an understatement. I woke up feeling like I had 10 days worth of a hangover, I bit my tongue in my sleep(never did that) and that one pill took close to 24 hrs to wear off. It was such a scary feeling.Thats why I am surprised this was not reported enough to approve this drug. Well, take care! AJ

Please, Please, Please, Please....if you are at all sensitive to medications like I am, DON'T try Lyrica!!!!!!!! 2 doses, 2 itty-bitty pills, caused me such stomach & intestinal pain & distress that I ended up in the hospital for five (5) days. It also caused my blood chemistry to go awry. I realize I am a barriatric patient from 2001, and supposedly this new drug effects nerve pain. Instead, it caused all sorts of problems for me & I ended up being taken from work by ambulance & was on IV fluids & IV food for 3 of the 5 days, & stayed on IV fluid for the other 2 days for pain which the Lyrica caused. Another drug they have been talking about for Fibro is Neurontin, & for me, it caused hallucinations & the impression I was drunk or psychotic! When I saw what the "new" Fibro drug was, I just had to say something. CW

I tried this medication as I have so many others over the years and all I did was sleep--It was awful-Just some insight on what it did to me-- Lenghth of treatment was about 1 month and discontinued. Great News for people with Fibromyalgia

I have not gotten into my health much yet. I have whats called Fibromyalgia. IF you never heard of it, consider yourself lucky. If you have, I am sorry and will give you lots of soft interent (((hugs))).
BUT, today we had a break thru.....The FDA approved a drug for FM. It was already used for another illness, so I guess in a way that was good and easier to get it done. Studies show that it helps some so we shall see. I am SO hoping and PRAYING that the side effects are NOT worse then the condition. I will NOT be running right out to get this NEW drug, but will keep up with it and see how it goes. I can NOT imagine having something that might actually HELP me and millions of others too!

Happy AND sad

This day was sort of happy and sad at the same time. As I mentioned, my friend that I met through going to the garfield conventions came to see me today. Some who know me, know that I LOVE garfield. Well, I have a WHOLE room of him downstairs in the basement. We have had a few floods in the past year plus and I have been trying to go thru my things and even got rid of some last year! OH NO!!! I decided that I could possible live without some paper products and plastic stuff. So, anyway, I have been very slowly trying to pack up the rest of it so it can go into storage and we can DO something with this horrible mold infested gross room!!! Yuck.
Anyway, since my friend was here today, I decided to to give her a bunch of things. I was SAD to see my stuff go, but it was even sadder to see what the dampness and MOLD was doing down there. It is soooo bad and getting worse the longer it is left. SO, I KNOW she will love and care for my precious garfields, and therefore was happy to give them to her!! We started by just looking at my mugs. I had 2 cd case shelves of them. I looked through alot more of my stuff and she left at supper time with a bunch of stuff! We were joking that it was good she brought the SUV!!!!! lol I know she felt bad for taking my stuff, BUT, I also know that she understood what it meant for me to give it to her. TO see my things possibly getting ruined down there and/or as I am packing this ALL away into bins and going to storage....It is very depressing, to say the least.
SO.....She is a very happy camper, I feel better knowing my garfields went to a loving home...PLUS, I have LESS to pack up and store now too!!! LOL
TODAY IS GARFIELDS BIRTHDAY TOO!!!!!!!!!!!! HAPPY 29th Birthday Garfield!!

OK, so I lived through this Monday. First day of VBS. lol It was great as usual. I actually have less kids then I thought I would...only 9. Its a nice bunch.
My friend is coming tomorrow to visit, and we will do lunch. I can NOT wait. DD enjoyed her first day of tech day camp too.
I am bushed....nothing else exciting. Going to bed!!!!

The end of another weekend is upon us. Did you have a good one? A nice Fathers day? Are you ready for Monday? YUCK....who is ever ready for Monday? lol This week coming up will be a very busy week for us. We start Vacation bible school. VBS for short. Ours is in the morning, which most places around here do not do. It works better for some things and is more difficult for others. We usually have a nice crowd of children and a great bunch of helpers! I am teaching 2nd graders again this year!! HA! They are fun, but they wore me OUT 2 years ago. Our theme is Son Force. Its like a spy/secret agent theme. Kinda cool.
I did finish the Fathers day card for my husband. I took a picture, but havent messed with trying to figure out HOW exactly to post it on here yet! I think I used about every CTMH alphabet set I had! It turned out nice.
My daughter is going to a career type camp this week too. She will be gone most of the day. It is at the Votech and she will learn all kinds of things. I hope she will have fun. The give them snacks and lunch and a tshirt too!!!
I will let you know tomorrow how everything went.
OH, and Tuesday, one of my friends is coming to visit me!!!!! She is just coming to visit for the day, but that OK!! I can NOT wait to see her, catch up and have some lunch!

Not much going on

Hey, Ok, Not much going on today. We went out for breakfast at Shady maple Smorgasborg today for Fathers day since that is what hubby wanted and they are closed on Sundays. Then we were TOO full to do anything else! lol Went for a ride in the Jeep since it was soo nice out, took a few pictures and came home. I was working on a Fathers day card for my husband....YES, if you learn Nothing else about me...Learn that I almost ALWAYS wait until the last minute!
